What is Repair Lab? An empirical repair-research project. We test methods, analyze materials, and verify sources — every conclusion graded, every grade traceable.

   The method

   Every method written up here carries a traceable chain of evidence — first-hand testing, institutional literature, trade practice, rules of thumb, or anecdotal remedies — graded A1 / A2 / B1 / B2 / C / unverified beneath each headline.

   The grade is not decoration; it is the provenance statement behind every conclusion.

2. 02

   The funding

   This lab is funded by AOJEL, but grades and conclusions are not shaped by commercial goals. Where no AOJEL product fits, we say so plainly; where there is risk, we mark it “Danger” and write no tutorial steps.

   The funder does not review drafts or alter conclusions — if a conclusion runs against AOJEL’s products, it still gets written down as found.

3. 03

   The byline

   The AOJEL brand does not appear in article bodies — except when the content is our own invention or discovery (including this lab’s first-hand tests), a customer method we collected, our contribution in ideas or philosophy, or our effort to carry the craft forward.

   Everything else stays out.
